Minister Angelkova held a workshop in Madrid with the minister of tourism of Kenya

The minister of tourism Nikolina Angelkova held a workshop in Madrid with Najib Balala, minister of tourism of Kenya, during the International Tourism Fair FITUR. The tourism forum took place in the Spanish capital Madrid in the period from 23 to 27 January. This year the event was organized for the 38th time and the biggest Spanish tour operators and tourist agencies and business representatives from hundreds of states took part in it.

The two ministers discussed the role of tourism as a factor for the development of the relations between the countries as well as the future possibilities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Kenya for the purpose of attracting the interest of the Kenyan tour operators to our country and vice versa.

Minister Angelkova emphasized that the purpose of all measures, applied by the Minister of Tourism, was Bulgaria to win recognition as an all-year tourist destination.

The Bulgarian minister announced that the focus for 2019 would be investments in the sphere of tourism and invited her colleague to participate in the first edition of the forum for sustainable investments in tourism, planned for the end of May in our country.

On his part minister Balala pointed out that Bulgaria was getting more and more attractive for visitors as it offered a diverse tourist product.
