Etropole Monastery "Holy Trinity"

“Holy Trinity” is located about 6 km east of the town of Etropole. It is considered to have been built in the 12th century. It is a complex of a church, residential and farm buildings. The church was built in 1859. The complex includes two chapels - "St. John the Baptist" and "St. St. Kozma and Damyan". In the 16th - 17th centuries the monastery the biggest spiritual center in Northern Bulgaria. The monastery was declared a monument of culture.

Transport accessibility: The easiest way to get to the Etropole monastery is from the interchange to the town of Etropole on Hemus Highway. Shortly after the town there is a road branch to the monastery - 2.5 km of asphalt road.
