"Germany remains a strategic partner for Bulgaria in tourism. Our message is clear—Bulgaria is a modern, accessible, and increasingly recognizable destination, open for partnerships all year round. I believe that with innovation, better connectivity and targeted messages to the public, we can achieve sustainable growth in all seasons. "Experience Bulgaria" is not just an event – it is a platform for new opportunities and shared development. With these words, Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh officially launched the second edition of the large-scale promotional forum for the German-speaking market – "Erlebe Bulgarien/Experience Bulgaria."
The event, which took place from June 11 to 15, 2025, at the Golden Sands resort complex, brought together over 200 representatives of leading tour operators, airlines, media, and industry organizations from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The specialized forum discussed opportunities for expanding tourism products and charter programs, improving air connectivity, and developing sustainable forms of tourism, such as spa, cultural, wine, and gastronomic tourism.
Minister Miroslav Borshosh also held bilateral meetings with leading industry players, including the German tourism group DERTOUR Group, the German Travel Association (DRV) and the Federal Association of the German Travel Industry (BTW), which together account for over 80% of the German tourism market.
The main partners of the forum are the media group FVW|TravelTalk, Fraport Twin Star, Grifid Hotels, the Ministry of Tourism, the Association of Incoming Agencies, the Municipality of Varna, as well as the airlines Electra Airways and SunExpress. The event will be moderated by German experts Klaus Hildebrandt and Dirk Rogl, and participants will include representatives of TUI, DERTOUR Group, Alltours, Schauinsland Reisen, SunExpress, and other key industry players.
The "Experience Bulgaria" program continues with working meetings, workshops, and familiarization tours to iconic sites along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The aim is for guests to get to know not only the tourist products, but also the infrastructure, quality of services, and unique experiences that Bulgaria offers as a competitive four-season destination.
