Bulgaria and Hungary sign Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism
The Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria Miroslav Borshosh and Marton Nagy - Minister of National Economy of Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism. The document aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and create conditions for sustainable development of the tourism sector between the two countries.
The Memorandum focuses on the exchange of information and experience in the field of tourism, including statistics and national strategies. It promotes cooperation in education and vocational training in tourism, the development of health tourism, as well as the establishment of direct contacts between representatives of the tourism business in Bulgaria and Hungary. The document also foresees the establishment of a working group to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the joint projects, with annual meetings expected.
In the words of Minister Borshosh, the signing of the memorandum reflects the two countries' desire to deepen their partnership in tourism and to create conditions for increasing the tourist flow bilaterally. Minister Nagy stressed the importance of cooperation in the exchange of experience and good practices, even more now that Bulgaria is part of the Schengen area.
With the signing of this document Bulgaria and Hungary are taking another step towards strengthening their relations and creating opportunities for new initiatives in tourism.
On the same day, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two countries in the fields of economy and transport.
