Bulgaria is in the Top 10 most desirable destinations for organized vacations among German tourists for the summer of 2025

The Ministry of Tourism took part in the annual conference of the German association of tour operators and travel agencies RITA AG, which was held from May 16 to 20, 2025, at the Golden Sands resort. The event brought together over 200 representatives of leading German tour operators and agencies, and the choice of Bulgaria as host confirmed the growing interest in our country in one of the most important European tourist markets.
"Germany remains a strategic market for Bulgaria with its combination of quality, affordable prices, and a variety of year-round tourist products. Our country offers both modern seaside resorts and picturesque mountains and spa centers, making it an attractive choice for a wide range of travelers," commented Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh.
During the forum, the Ministry of Tourism participated in the specialized conference and business meetings. Opportunities for year-round tourism, sustainable partnerships, and a variety of tourist products tailored to the preferences of German tourists were presented.
The event took place in the context of a clear positive trend: According to the latest analyses and publications by the German Travel Association (Deutscher Reiseverband - DRV),
Bulgaria ranks among the top 10 most preferred destinations for organized vacations among German tourists for Summer 2025, and according to the research institute Travel Data + Analytics, there is currently a 24% increase in bookings to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast compared to the previous year.
According to participating travel agencies, expectations for the current summer season in Bulgaria remain extremely positive, thanks to the excellent value for money and the expanded flight schedule to our country this year.
With its participation in the RITA AG conference, the Ministry of Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its presence on the German market and emphasized Bulgaria's importance as a sustainable, competitive, and year-round tourist destination.
