Karlos Nasar: Bulgaria is beautiful and worth seeing.

Following DARA, the world-renowned weightlifting phenomenon has agreed to participate in the Ministry of Tourism’s new campaign to promote our country

Olympic, world and European weightlifting champion Karlos Nasar accepted the invitation of the Minister of Tourism Dr. Ilin Dimitrov to join the campaign to present Bulgaria to the world. Together with the Eurovision 2026 winner DARA, he is the next popular Bulgarian face in the initiative, the goal of which is to showcase our country through successful and inspiring Bulgarians as goodwill ambassadors of Bulgarian tourism.

During the meeting, Minister Dimitrov presented Karlos Nasar with a statuette with a Bulgarian rose, which will be part of the message to the international audience.

"Bulgaria needs its champions. They compare you to Leo Messi in weightlifting. Let the world see our country not only as a beautiful destination, but as a country with a history, spirit, and personalities that tell the story of it," Minister Dimitrov said.

Karlos Nasar said that he would proudly support this mission in the name of Bulgaria. "Our country is dear to all of us who carry it in our hearts, it is beautiful and deserves to be seen by more people around the world," he said.

As part of the initiative, famous Bulgarians from various fields will present Bulgaria through their personal connection with it, in a place that excites them, and with a message to people who have not yet discovered it.
