With a concert on the beach in Pomorie: The Ministry of Tourism kicked off Summer 2025
The summer tourist season was opened with a beach party in front of thousands of guests who heard Stefan Valdobrev's new hit "Svoboden" for the first time
The Ministry of Tourism opened the 2025 summer tourist season with an inspiring event in Pomorie, a town that combines sea, history, culture, and opportunities for balneology and spa tourism. "A different start of Summer 2025! Good luck to everyone in tourism – let's make this a summer to remember! Thank you to the thousands who joined us at the concert in Pomorie," said Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh during the official opening.
The festive atmosphere attracted thousands of residents and guests from all over the country, representatives of the tourism industry, the media, members of parliament, diplomats, and local authorities, who together gave a symbolic start to the season. Those present expressed their support for the modern, inclusive, and dialogical approach with which the Ministry marked the beginning of summer and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the state, business, and local communities for the development of tourism as a key sector for the country.
Against the backdrop of the sunset and the sound of the waves, the South Beach in Pomorie became the heart of the festive opening of the 2025 summer season. Thousands of people gathered to be part of an unforgettable experience, where music, emotions, and anticipation for a summer filled with freedom merged into one.
The highlight of the event was the premiere of the song "Free" – the new single by Stefan Valdobrev and "The Usual Suspects," which set the tone for Summer 2025. The song is the lead track from the upcoming album "The Acoustics of Bulgaria" and has become a symbol of the spirit with which the Ministry of Tourism kicked off the season – a summer filled with discoveries, lightness, and inspiration in every corner of the country.
The musical program continued with the magical performances of the "Mystery of Bulgarian Voices" choir, which brought deep emotion and a sense of connection to the roots. They were followed by "Molec" and Papi Hans, who electrified the audience with their contemporary sound and high energy. The finale was left to DJ Dimo, who turned the beach into a dance floor under the stars, lit up by lights and smiles.
The official program also included a ceremony to raise the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Blue Flag of the Fishing Port, as a sign of high environmental standards and sustainable practices in tourism.
The Ministry organized an informal breakfast for the diplomatic corps, followed by a specially selected tour of the city's tourist attractions, including the Thracian Dome Tomb and the Salt Museum. The initiative highlighted the importance of international partnership and cultural exchange for promoting Bulgaria as an attractive tourist destination to a global audience.
As part of the events marking the opening of the summer tourist season, Deputy Ministers Irena Georgieva and Pavlin Petrov took part in the BTA forum "BG Tourism - Summer 2025," where they discussed with representatives of institutions, businesses, and the media the priorities and messages with which Bulgaria will present itself as a year-round tourist destination.
In the summer of 2025, the Ministry of Tourism will promote not only seaside tourism but also opportunities for tourism in the mountains throughout all seasons. A major event is coming up in Chepelare at the end of June, which will highlight the importance of mountain tourism as part of efforts to promote Bulgaria as a year-round destination.
