The foundations of the museum work in Strelcha were laid in the middle of the 20th century by a group of local researchers who set up a museum collection. The collection has been maintained and enriched for half a century and in 2002 has been transformed into a full museum. The museum is housed in a representative three-storey house built specifically for the needs of the cultural institution. The house is newly built in old-fashioned style - it recreates the home of the local leader, chorbadzhi Nesho Grozev. The Fund of the Museum includes three collections - Archeology, Bulgarian lands 15 - 19th century and Art. The exposition is constructed on the basis of the three collections. The museum complex also includes three buildings – the Nedeleva house, a Mutual school and an administrative building.
