Bulgaria and Poland create a new network for tourism cooperation within the Three Seas Initiative
Deputy Tourism Minister Irena Georgieva headed the Bulgarian delegation at the 5th Congress of Local Self-Government within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative. During the forum, the 3Seas Tourism Network was established – a joint initiative between the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, the Voivodeship of Lublin and other partners.
"The Three Seas Initiative is a key mechanism for tourism development through better connectivity, investment in infrastructure and modern marketing strategies. Bulgaria will continue to work actively to promote the region as an attractive tourist destination," Deputy Minister Georgieva said.
The Three Seas will support the development of cultural and eco-tourism, promote the exchange of best practices and support the creation of common tourism products for the region. An important focus will also be the digitalisation of tourism services, which will improve the competitiveness of the sector.
The Bulgarian delegation took part in discussions on the economic and infrastructural development of the region. Nikolay Kostov, representative of the Ministry of Tourism at the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw, also participated in a panel dedicated to the 3SI Tourism Network. The Ministry of Tourism continues to promote international cooperation in the sector for sustainable growth and competitiveness.
