Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh offered his condolences to the Minister of Culture and Tourism in Turkey Mehmet Ersoy on the occasion of the fire that broke out in a hotel in the Turkish ski resort of Kartalkaya, which killed 76 people and injured more than 50.
"Tragic events such as these evoke our deepest sympathy for people, friends and neighbours. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, as well as with all those affected by this terrible tragedy,” Minister Miroslav Borshosh stressed in his letter, who also held a telephone conversation with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bulgaria Mehmet Sait Uyanak.
In this regard, and in view of the busy winter tourist season and the increased consumption of electricity and solid fuel in winter resorts, the Minister of Tourism organised an extraordinary meeting with the Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov. The aim is to take preventive measures to increase control of fire safety compliance.
